Dear Parents and Students,
I would like to welcome students and parents to the 2016-2017 school year at MGLA. A new school year always presents opportunities for exciting beginnings - new teachers, new classmates, new rooms, new books, and new materials. I cannot think of a more exciting time of year. I would like to extend a special "welcome" to the new students and their families that have recently moved to our district.
My name is Bridget Turman and I am your child's English Language Arts teacher this year. It will be my top priority the first week of school to get to know your children on an individual basis and assure them and you that I am here for you.
I love to read!!! My classroom is a place for students to learn to love reading. It is my goal that all students leave my classroom with the life long passion for reading. You are an essential part of your child's education process. There is no one who knows more about your child than you do. Please contact me with any concerns you see regarding your child throughout the school year.
This is an essential ingredient in our success together. Please feel free to call, email or send a note to me with any concerns, comments, or suggestions regarding your child or my classroom policies. I will communicate regularly through your child’s agenda planner, our weekly homework, parent letters, phone calls, updates and conferences.
Here's to a great year in the 6th grade!
Best wishes,
Ms. Turman
